PT. TPI provides an explanation and deepening of the substance of the completeness of the documents required by BAPETEN for the implementation of the TMSR500 project. One of the explanations and deepening of the substance that needs to be done is related to design. Therefore, a joint decision was reached to organize a comprehensive training workshop centered on reactor core design. This training was initiated in collaboration between PT ThorCon Power Indonesia and BAPETEN as the competent regulator in the field of nuclear supervision and safety in Indonesia. This collaboration aims to strengthen the capabilities and knowledge of professionals involved in the nuclear industry, especially in terms of neutronics and thermohydraulic safety analysis of TMSR500 reactor core design.

In this activity attended as BAPETEN delegates Hendra Subekti Deputy for Nuclear Safety Assessment (PKN) and Mr. Ahmad Ciptadi Head of the BAPETEN Training Center and as a representative lecturer from PT. TPI were Manuele Afiero Director of Milano Mutiphysics, Paolo Bianchini expert in neutronics and thermal hydraulics modeling of nuclear reactors and Choe Jongsoo Physics Analyst of ThorCon US Incorporation. The event began with a speech from Hendra Subekti saying "BAPETEN and ThorCon agreed to organize a comprehensive workshop focusing on reactor core design. This cooperation aims to strengthen the capabilities and knowledge of professionals in the nuclear industry, especially in terms of neutronics and thermohydraulic safety analysis of TMSR500 reactor core design."

In addition, after attending this workshop, it is expected to increase the synergy between PT ThorCon Power Indonesia and BAPETEN in achieving high nuclear safety standards. Especially for ASN BAPETEN, it is hoped that it can carry out a review of the neutronic and thermohydraulic safety aspects of the TMSR500 reactor terrace design. (BHKK/CD/RP/VRRa)
