The activity will be divided into two sessions, namely the first session of signing a Memorandum of Understanding with BRIN regarding "Cooperation on Resource Utilization in Supporting Duties and Functions in the Nuclear Energy Sector." This document was signed by Plt. Chairman of BAPETEN Sugeng Sumbarjo and Head of BRIN Laksana Tri Handoko with a plan to implement the collaboration will be realized within a period of five years.

The scope of this collaboration includes research, development, study and application, as well as invention and innovation in the field of nuclear energy; joint use of facilities and infrastructure owned by both parties; assignment of personnel and/or experts; exchange of data and/or information; increasing human resource competency;

Laksana Tri Handoko hopes that this collaboration can provide benefits for both parties. "We really support this collaboration between BAPETEN and BRIN by carrying out research, development, study and implementation activities, as well as inventions and innovations in the field of nuclear energy in the aspects of safety, security and security in accordance with the scope of the agreement"

Sugeng added "This agreement is also an effort to synergize existing resources and competencies to support the implementation of their respective duties and functions to contribute to the achievement of the national development plan in accordance with statutory provisions."

Next in the second session, namely the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with BSSN regarding "Protection of Information and Electronic Transactions in Nuclear Energy Supervision." This document was signed by Plt. Chairman of BAPETEN Sugeng Sumbarjo and Deputy Head of BSSN Komjen Pol Drs. Putu Jayan Danu Putra, S.H., M.Si with a plan to implement the collaboration will be realized within a period of five years.

The scope of this agreement includes the use of electronic certificates to increase the security of electronic transactions; securing information and communication technology; use, improvement and development of owned resources; increasing cyber security capacity; cyber security campaigns and literacy; information exchange.

Sugeng said "Specifically in the use of electronic certificate services issued by BSrE for all electronic documents issued by BAPETEN in terms of monitoring the use of nuclear energy in Indonesia, BAPETEN will renew cooperation with BSSN in 2023."

Deputy Head of BSSN Komjen Pol Drs. Putu Jayan Danu Putra, S.H., M.Si added "This collaboration between BAPETEN and BSSN is expected to increase synergy in order to improve cyber security in Indonesia, especially in the field of nuclear energy supervision." (BHKK/CD/RP)
