The event began with remarks from the Head of Bureau of Planning, Information, and Finance (BPIK), BAPETEN Achmad Bussamah. In his remarks, he said, "We express our gratitude for being supported by electronic signatures in order to provide professional nuclear energy licensing services because this electronic signature cannot be forged and has been certified at BSrE BSSN."

"In addition, we hope that this cooperation can be expanded to support BAPETEN's performance in carrying out its duties and functions as the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency in Indonesia," he added.

"After this cooperation agreement is signed, it is hoped that both parties can implement the commitment concretely according to the scope of their respective cooperation so that the security of the electronic system at BAPETEN can be carried out properly," he said.

The speech was continued by the Head of the Legal and Public Communication Bureau of BSSN, Brigadier General TNI Berty B.W. Sumakud. In his speech, he said, "It must be realized that the higher the level of utilization of information and communication technology, the more it will be proportional to the level of risk and security threats. Therefore, cybersecurity is needed as an adaptive and innovative effort to protect all layers in cyberspace, including the information assets contained therein, from cyber threats and attacks."

"BSSN, through the Electronic Certification Center (BSrE), provides electronic certification services aimed at providing information security support in the implementation of e-government. BSrE has also been officially declared as an Electronic Certification Organizer for Agencies based on the Decree of Parent Recognition Number 103 of 2022 from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia," he added.

"The use of electronic certificates in the BSrE Electronic Signature (TTE) service builds trust by providing three aspects of information security based on an asymmetric cryptography system: an authentication guarantee, namely guaranteeing the identity of the document owner; an integrity guarantee, namely guaranteeing the contents of the document are not changed by unauthorized parties; and a non-repudiation guarantee, namely guaranteeing that no party can deny an electronic document," he explained.

The signing of this cooperation was carried out directly by the Head of BPIK BAPETEN Achmad Bussamah and the Head of BSrE BSSN Jonathan Gerhard Tarigan, electronically witnessed by the Head of Bureau of Legal Affairs, Cooperation, and Public Communication (BHKK) BAPETEN Indra Gunawan and the Head of the Legal and Public Communication Bureau BSSN Brigadier General TNI Berty B.W. Sumakud.

The scope of cooperation regulated in this Cooperation Agreement includes the provision of information technology infrastructure that supports the implementation of electronic certificates in electronic systems, the issuance of electronic certificates, the use of electronic certificates in electronic systems, and increasing the competence of human resources in the use of electronic certificates.
