FGD Preparation of Technical Guidelines for Implementing Safety Culture in Health Facilities
Kembali 03 Oktober 2023 | Berita BAPETENIn the context of preparing Technical Guidelines for Implementing Safety Culture in Health Facilities, BAPETEN's Center for the Study of Systems and Technology for Monitoring Radiation and Radioactive Substances Facilities (P2STPFRZR) held a "Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Preparing Technical Guidelines for Implementing Radiation Safety Culture in Health Facilities", in Jakarta on September 26-27, 2023. This FGD, which was held offline, was attended by representatives from 22 Hospitals/Health Facilities in the Jakarta area and surrounding areas, consisting of class A to class D hospitals.
The event was opened by the Head of P2STPFRZR BAPETEN, represented by the Coordinator of the BAPETEN Health Assessment Function Group, Rusmanto, in his opening remarks said "FGD activities are carried out to obtain input, responses, evidence and additional information. This is useful for profiling the ability to apply the questionnaire, as one of the tools used for self-assessment in implementing radiation safety culture in health facilities. And also to see the ability to apply safety culture in health facilities. "It is hoped that after the self-assessment is carried out, follow-up actions can be made so that the health culture in each health facility can continue to improve."
The event continued with a presentation on "Introduction to Technical Guidelines for Implementing Safety Culture in Health Facilities" by BAPETEN Main Expert Radiation Supervisor Leily Savitri, as the activity supervisor. In his presentation, he stated that BAPETEN must create a program to increase the implementation of safety culture in radiation facilities and nuclear installations as well as improve guidance in implementing safety culture in the nuclear and radiation fields.
Challenges that emerged in this FGD included the role of each level of management in implementing a safety culture in each health facility, the document digitization process, the employee performance appraisal system, and the incident/accident reporting system.
The event was closed by the BAPETEN Health Assessment Function Group, Rusmanto, in his closing remarks, said that the results of this FGD would be used to enrich the material for safety culture guidelines in health facilities that were being prepared, and would be incorporated into guidelines for assessing the implementation of safety culture in health facilities.
